My second pair. Here's a side view:
I'm aware that the heel flaps don't match up. I feel no need to explain this. Both socks fit comfortably, and that's what matters.
I'm also aware that the stripes don't match up perfectly, either. My socks are fraternal, rather than identical. I love them equally.
Today I plan to buy the yarn for David's kilt hose. I'm still trying to figure out something wonderful and special I can make for Abby for a wedding present. (Yes, they're getting separate presents. Shut up. Just because they're getting married doesn't mean they can't get separate presents. They'll still be two people, after all!) I'm aiming for "not a creepy gift to give your sister-in-law," so no negligees, thongs, or garters. Any suggestions? Abby, feel free to make a request!

Ooh, cool socks, Ann. I didn't even notice they weren't exactly alike until you mentioned it. I am in awe that you can knit socks. I wanna be you when I grow up.

How would you make them alike anyway?
Sometimes you can find a stripe pattern repeat, and make sure you start at the same point in the repeat for both socks. I don't think that works for this yarn, though.
I bet you could make socks. Does Patti have a sock class? (For after NaNoWriMo, of course.)

She probably does, or knows someone who does, but I think I'll be content with my fishies and maybe a bag for a while. I'm still tempted to crochet socks. Hmmm, maybe I'll do that while I wait for my silk and sweater yarns to arrive. But I'm not very patient and like projects that are fast to finish. And don't say, but you have to knit a lot of fish to make an afghan, I consider each little fishie complete in and of itself. Just like my kids.

No prob. I don't think I have enough yarn to stretch from KY to CA, plus I think the TSA goons would object to me flying between states with a needle in my hand and the yarn would get all tangled.
