Check it out--I did it!

I made a swimsuit! It even fits me. If I make this pattern again, I'll shorten the torso by one to two inches, but this works just fine.
Observe the lovely details:

Bust lining, delicate shoulder straps, a clasp in the back--there's a whole lot of elastic in this thing. I'm so pleased with myself for pulling this off! It's taken me a week, but I managed it.
Now I can get back to knitting!

Wow, I am super impressed. Way to stick it to the man...er woman, or whoever, who designs swimsuits. Every single one I find in the store is a beastly thing, either cut for an anorexic 13 year old or my grandmother. You rule.
I'm with you on the defeat thing. maybe I should just have you make me a bathing suit instead of me buying one...
